The existing protection concepts of Belalp Bahnen AG guarantee you a safe journey to our vacation destination. As of today, there are no plans to reserve a seat on the feeder line.

Avoid rush hours. Due to arrival patterns, we normally expect increased arrival activity on Saturdays. You may be able to postpone your arrival and departure by one or two days with your host.

Belalp Bahnen AG will also operate in a lockdown ordered by the authorities, but with reduced operations.

Entry into Switzerland: No need to present proof of vaccination, convalescence or negative tests and no need to fill in an entry form.

The restrictions on private gatherings were lifted on 17 February 2022

From Friday, April 1, 2022, the mask obligation in public transport has been lifted.
At the cantonal level, the mask obligation in health institutions will continue to exist at least until April 30, 2022.

Regarding the Covid certificate obligation, there is currently no obligation for the use of the mountain railways. Belalp Bahnen AG will not introduce one on a voluntary basis. How the whole situation and the measures ordered by the authorities will develop further cannot be assessed from today's perspective.

However, if the certificate obligation is introduced in the ski area, the following regulation will apply: Non-use of the (transport) facilities does not entitle the holder to exchange, change, transfer, refund in full or in part, nor to take back purchased tickets/ski passes.

The Federal Council has adapted the provisions on the operation of cable cars. The cable cars are once again treated in the same way as the provisions on public transport. The capacity restrictions in closed cable cars are therefore no longer applicable. The obligation to wear a mask and hygiene rules continue to apply.

If there is an increased number of guests, additional trips are introduced on the cable car. In winter, the small gondolas are also in operation, running continuously from 08:45 - 17:00. There are no capacity restrictions on the cable cars.
