Safe, safer, Blatten-Belalp!

The Blatten-Belalp Tourismus AG as well as the Belalp Bahnen AG do everything during your stay so that your summer and winter vacations on the mountain are not endangered during this special time. So that you and your family or friends can enjoy your vacation on the beautiful Belalp without any worries, the entire destination must adhere to certain regulations. We expect this from our employees, service providers, guests and other visitors to our destination. Our restaurants, hotels, chalets and vacation apartments are well prepared for your visit. With this page we want to inform you about everything important concerning safety in Blatten-Belalp during times of the Corona pandemic.

Update

  • There is no certificate requirement on the Swiss ski slopes.

  • 2G: vaccinated or recovered

    2G+: vaccinated/recovered within last 4 months or vaccinated/recovered with negative test

    3G: vaccinated, recovered or tested

     

  • '2G' with mask and seating requirement

    • cultural, sporting and leisure venues
    • Theatre performances
    • Sports events
    • Concerts
    • Fitness centres and sports facilities
    • Museums
    • Hotel (partial): applies to areas such as restaurant and leisure facilities at the hotel. This means that if a guest wants to go to the breakfast buffet, the gym or the indoor swimming pool, they must fulfil the 2G rule. Guests who only stay overnight at the hotel, on the other hand, are exempt from the certificate requirement. Without a certificate, however, guests can only receive food via room service.

     

    2G+ for clubs and dicos and activities where maska are not parcticable (people who within the last four months have been fully vaccinated, received a booster or recovered from COVID-19 do not have to take a further test)

    Private gatherings

    • Max. 10 People if at least 1 Person present is unvaccinated or has not had COVID-19
    • Indoors: max. 30 people with 2G
    • Outdoors: max 50 people

     

    At outdoor events, access for people aged 16 and over is also restricteed to people qho are vaccinated or recovered (2G). Access restrictions can be waived if not more than 300 people are admitted and guests do not dance.

     

    Still no certificate required:

    • All means of passenger transport such as cable cars are exempt from the certificate requirement. The existing protective measures (masks and social distancing) continue to apply here.

     

    This will aplly from 20 December 2021 and can be found in the Official Media Release form the Federal Council dated 17 December 2021.

  • For foreign guests (outside the EU / EFTA / Schengen):

*The Covid certificate is open to all: vaccinated, recovered or with a negative test result. It can be presented in an app or in paper form. The requirement applies from the age of 16.

Information for guests staying in Valais

The Health Service of the Canton of Valais has compiled the most important information for guests planning a stay in Valais on the Info Coronavirus - Info Coronavirus - vs.ch page. The information on this page is updated regularly and is available in four languages: French, German, Italian and English.

The information on this page is especially important for vaccinated guests with a certificate from a country outside the EU (especially the UK). Until a national platform is established, we strongly recommend that these guests download the "COVID Certificate" application, available in the App Store or Google Play Store, and apply for a certificate via the online form https://tracing-valais.ch/certificat at least 10 days before entering Switzerland.
