The alpine summer really gets going when the cows are brought up to the alpine pastures. On the so-called "Aufalpungswochenende", the farmers from the Blatten-Belalp region lead their cows up the Belalp. Every year, many enthusiastic spectators marvel at the beautiful animals and cheer actively during the cow fights.
