Winter Tüürli - tasting hike

The hike begins at the Belalp mountain station. Strap on your snowshoes here. You hike along the snowshoe trail to Bruchegg and on to the Aletschbord. The most strenuous part of the hike continues. You hike next to the Belalp Chapel and Villa Tyndall up to the Tyndall Monument. On this section you have a spectacular view of the Aletsch Glacier. Now head back towards Bruchegg where another drink awaits you in the Restaurant Sparrhorn. Just a few metres back to the mountain station, you enjoy the last Tüürli drink in the Restaurant Tyndall. Then it's back to the village of Blatten. Either racy on the toboggan or leisurely with the cable car.

Hike independently with snowshoes through the breathtaking winter landscape on the Belalp and get to know the Valais from its wintry side. Enjoy 5 exclusive winter drinks from Swiss companies. Dash back to the village on a toboggan* or swing down on the gondola.

After booking, you will receive your booking confirmation directly. You can use this to collect your starter rucksack and cups from the Blatten valley station on the day of the Tüürli.

Collection of the starter rucksack

The starter rucksack can be collected from the Belalp Bahnen AG valley station, Rischinustrasse 5, 3914 Blatten bei Naters

One group leader will be appointed per group. The group leader will receive a form on which he/she will enter his/her personal details and ask each group member to sign in the appropriate field. After handing in the form and depositing an ID, the group leader will be given the starter rucksack (containing drinks and Jetboil) and a cup for each group member (according to the ticket). The snowshoes can be collected from the RIP Zone sports shop (also at the valley station).

Collection of the toboggan

The toboggan can be collected on presentation of the toboggan voucher at the Belalp mountain station (by 21:00 at the latest).
The toboggans are only issued by the cableways when the toboggan run is officially open. It is possible that there are sledders on the track even though the track is officially closed. Please follow the instructions of the cableways, your safety is also our top priority.

Return

The group leader is responsible for making sure that the snowshoes and backpack (incl. The group leader is responsible for ensuring that the snowshoes and the backpack (incl. jetboil and cups) are returned to the valley station by 9.50 pm at the latest.

If the backpack or the jetboil is lost, the group leader will be charged a fee of CHF 200. The amount will be used to replace the material.

The participants are on their own. The starting time as well as the respective speed can be determined by the participants themselves.

The Tüürli is based on trust and honesty. The participants take care of the equipment and report any damage when returning the equipment to the mountain station.

Catering

We recommend that you come to the Winter Tüürli with a full stomach or take something to nibble on yourself. It is also advisable to take a bottle of water with you - as on every hike. If you would like to round off the Winter Tüürli with a cosy evening meal or fondue, you can book this directly with us.

By signing the registration form, the participant confirms that he or she:

  • is 18 years or older.
  • Is insured.
