Chapel Bäll

The chapel was built in the years 1689-1696. The year 1696 is written in a medallion at the apex of the second innermost yoke. Due to a special episcopal permission of 13 August 1835, the Blessed Sacrament may also be kept in the chapel since then.

In the middle of the sparsely populated Stafels Bel, the stately chapel of the Holy Trinity is enthroned on a gentle transverse ridge with a chancel facing the valley. It is a prominent landmark in the village, visible from far away.

Mass transfer in 1978

On 6 August 1978, the service from this chapel was broadcast on Radio DRS (now SRF). The mass was read by Chaplain Otto Walker, while the Blatten chapel choir joined in the service with four-part songs.
