Safety guidelines

Even if it looks tempting in films: rock climbing in nature is not for beginners. In addition to the right equipment and strength, a solid education and practice in securing techniques are needed. Those who are properly secured hardly ever suffer serious accidents when rock climbing.

The 5 most important tips:

- Learn securing techniques and never let go of the brake rope while securing
- Question the securing behaviour of rope partners and address mistakes
- Do a partner check – especially check knots
- Agree on commands and signals beforehand
- Wear a helmet, remove finger rings
