The hiking guide leads her guests safely on flat terrain and in the mountains, where she does not need any technical aids (no climbing or glacier crossings!). Along the way, she informs her guests in an entertaining way about the nature, culture, customs and history of the region, giving the landscape a fourth dimension. If you are lucky, she will also be able to tell you one or two ancient local legends against a suitable backdrop.
