On January 16, 2026, the Belalp Witches will open for the 44th time. The Witches' Descent OC will also put together a spectacular program for this Witches' Week and the Witches Nights.

Fondue Chalet
When the witches’ tent in Blatten fills with golden light and the scent of melted cheese on Friday evening, the Witches Night Blatten 2026 begins – with a fondue night that perfectly combines enjoyment, tradition and party vibes.
A creamy Valais-style fondue à discrétion from our partner Walker AG will be served, accompanied by fine Seewer wines and refreshing drinks.
Between steaming caquelons, twinkling lights and mystical decorations, a one-of-a-kind atmosphere unfolds – warm, authentic and simply magical.
Festival tent opens: 19.00

Witches Night
On Saturday, Witches Night Blatten 2026 reaches its grand finale!
After the spectacular Belalp Witches’ Descent, witch groups, riders, locals and guests gather in the witches’ tent for the ultimate celebration.
At 18.00, the official award ceremony of the Hexenabfahrt takes place.
