How to get to Blatten-Belalp
Blatten is easily accessible by public transport. Once you arrive in Brig, a direct post bus service runs once to twice an hour from in front of the train station to Blatten (bei Naters) and takes 27 minutes – beware there is a 1hr40min gap over lunch (11.39 – 13.23). From Blatten, you take the gondola or cable car up to Belalp.
Arriving by car is also easy and Blatten has plenty of parking, including covered spots in an underground car park adjacent to the gondola/cable car station.

Together, accompanied by the hiking guide, you take the cable car up to Belalp. The sunrise hike starts at the Belalp mountain station. The pure running time to the Aletsch board is 30 minutes. On the way, the hike leaders will tell you a lot of interesting facts about Belalp. Each hike leader organises the sunrise hike individually. There are various routes to the Aletsch board, all of which are easy to follow.
