Mystical silence and a dreamlike panorama - this is what a perfect sunrise looks like.
Experience the unique morning atmosphere on the Belalp on an easy and leisurely hike for the whole family. A local hiking guide will tell you some interesting anecdotes about Belalp and the region on the way to the Aletschbord. After the sunrise, there will be a small breakfast at the Hotel Belalp.

Registration by Wednesday, 16:00 hrs at the Blatten-Belalp tourist office +41 27 921 60 40 or tourismus@belalp.ch or directly at the shop (www.shop.belalp.ch).

Equipment: Warm clothing is recommended.

Programme

  • Individual arrival: Valley station, Blatten near Naters (Rischinustrasse 5) - Please make sure you are at the valley station 5 minutes before your start time
  • Joint journey to Belalp by cable car
  • Hike from the mountain station to the Aletschbord - On the way, a local hiking guide will tell you some interesting anecdotes about Belalp
  • After sunrise, there will be a small breakfast at the Hotel Belalp - If you have any allergies or intolerances, please let us know in advance, allergies or intolerances, please contact the Blatten-Belalp tourist office in advance
  • Individual return journey from the Hotel Belalp

Directions & Parking facilities

You reach the destination Blatten-Belalp via Brig and Naters. You can then take the gondola or cable car up to Belalp.
If you travel to Blatten-Belalp by car, there are parking spaces and an underground car park available in Blatten.
If you travel to Blatten-Belalp by public transport, you change from the train to the post bus in Brig.

Important notice

Together, accompanied by the hiking guide, you take the cable car up to Belalp. The sunrise hike starts at the Belalp mountain station. The pure running time to the Aletsch board is 30 minutes. On the way, the hike leaders will tell you a lot of interesting facts about Belalp. Each hike leader organises the sunrise hike individually. There are various routes to the Aletsch board, all of which are easy to follow.

Tip

Warm clothing is highly recommended.
