If the route from Belalp to Blatten is too leisurely for you on foot, you can also whizz down the route on a scooter bike. Everyone chooses their own speed, as the scooter bikes are equipped with brakes.
A pleasant ride
Thanks to the suspension fork and large tyres with tread the ride on the scooter bike is fun on both asphalt and gravel roads. The 8-kilometre descent from Belalp to Blatten is a great change of pace.
Rental
The scooter bikes can be rented at the mountain station on Belalp.
The rental price including helmet is CHF 10.00 per ride (90 min.).
Children between the ages of 7 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Group bookings of 15 or more scooter bikes are compulsory by calling +41 27 921 65 10
During the summer season, you can hire the scooter bikes until 5.00 pm at the latest (last ascent at 4.50 pm). In late summer from 1 September, the rental time is limited to 16:00. Please note that scooter bikes are not issued outside the summer season.

If you travel to Blatten-Belalp by public transport, you change from the train to the post bus in Brig.
