The chapel of St Laurentius in Bitschji was built by the Jung- und Altjungwacht in 1991/92.
The St Laurentius Chapel was built in 1991/1992. The reason for this was the 30th anniversary of Jungwacht (1992) and the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation (1291 - 1991). On the other hand, the Jungwacht wanted to create a special place in the great outdoors that would serve as a meeting place for club events, but would also be a place of silence and faith.

The chapel is located in an inviting spot above the hamlet of Bitschji, at the entrance to the "Unnertal", on the much-travelled Geimen-Trämel hiking trail.

Below the chapel there is a barbecue area.
