Hanging bridge Belalp – Riederalp
Opened in 2008, a 124 meter long hanging bridge spans the 80 meter deep Massa gorge between Belalp and Riederalp. Strong nerves and a head for heights are required but the crossing provides breathtaking views of the gorge and the snout of the glacier.Hiking on Outdooractive
Hike the Massa trail and follow an ancient irrigation channel
The Massa trail takes you through the imposing Massa Gorge. The hiking trail follows the Riederi Suone, an ancient irrigation channel. The oldest reference to this irrigation channel dates back to 1385 and it was actively used channeling the glacier’s melt water to the fields of Ried-Mörel until the 1940s. The trail is cut out of the cliff face high above the gorge. A head for heights is necessary for this adventurous hike.Hiking on Outdooractive
