The "Steigle" hiking trail is a path for livestock and humans.
The "Steigle" driving and hiking trail is the only connection from the Aletschbord to the "Aletschji".
In addition to the "Färricha", the "Steigle" was also restored in 2008. The path zigzags between two rocky outcrops and descends the 100 metres between the Aletschbord and the "Aletschji". The path is partly paved with natural stones and mostly supported by dry stone walls on the valley side.
