Energy efficiency and climate protection

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - Optimized energy efficiency and climate protection

We take responsibility - for our employees, our environment and our society! Together we are committed to a sustainable future.

For Belalp Bahnen AG as well as Blatten-Belalp Tourismus AG, it is a central concern to make our contribution to climate protection. Since 2021, we have therefore committed ourselves to reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions as part of a target agreement with act Cleantech Agentur Schweiz. The goal of our agreement with act is to increase our energy efficiency and save electricity and heating energy by 2029. At the same time, we want to reduce our CO2 emissions. To implement the target agreement, an act energy specialist drew up a comprehensive catalog of measures, which we have been consistently implementing ever since. In an annual monitoring by the act energy specialist, the measures are checked for their effectiveness and our progress is recorded. The target agreement is an instrument recognized by the federal government and the cantons. The target path is also monitored and audited by the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU) and the Federal Office of Energy (BFE).

Our efforts were recognized by act with the Certificate for Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection.
