TOUCH'N'SNOW

“Vol et Ski,” as our colleagues in Lower Valais call it, describes much more than just flying on skis. It stands for the utmost precision close to the ground, for touch-and-goes, for tight turns in the snow, and for controlled slides. A challenging form of flying that combines technique, intuition, and creativity—almost a lifestyle in its own right.

Program

It’s best to arrive on Friday evening for the “get-together” at Chalet Sepp to get in the mood for the next two days. A welcome cocktail reception awaits you, and until 20.00, there will be delicious wood-fired pizza. Saturday morning begins with registration and the distribution of race numbers at Chalet Sepp. During the briefing at the Hohbiel (Hexenbar), you’ll learn what kind of course awaits you. Depending on snow and weather conditions, the race will start from the Hohstock, the ridge, or right in front of the Hexenbar. From start to finish, you’ll need to complete various tasks that require a lot of precision and skill. But don’t worry—even less experienced participants will have the chance to earn points. Of course, a landing at the finish line is a must! After the first two runs on Saturday, we’ll head over to Ricco’s Iglu for drinks and snacks. Afterward, we’ll be treated to melted cheese at Chalet Sepp; the Röstigraben will be bridged, and whatever “AC/DC” and “The Rolling Stones” bring out in us—is already legendary…
