From the valley station in Blatten, you walk through the Rischinerwald forest to Stalden and back. A detour to the Gibidum dam is worthwhile just for the view.

From the valley station in Blatten at 1327 meters above sea level, a short stretch of the path follows the road towards the Belstar restaurant. At the curve, turn right and follow the signs into the Rischinerwald forest to Stalden. The path leads you through gently hilly terrain.

From the Stalden parking lot, either return via Rischinerwald to Blatten or hike to the Gibidum reservoir and enjoy the unique nature. The reservoir at 1436 meters above sea level is fed by several mountain streams, the Massa, and the Great Aletsch Glacier.

The path is well suited for a snowshoe outing with the whole family. It is a rather short but very beautiful and easy winter hike.
