  • Start: Belalp cable car mountain station
  • Destination: Aletschbord

The trail first leads from the top station of the cable car to Bruchegg and on to the restaurant Kristall. From here you walk to the Lüsgersee and the Färricha before reaching the Aletschbord.

The starting point of this snowshoe trail is the top station of the cable car (2094 m above sea level). The trail then leads to Bruchegg (watch out for oncoming skiers) and towards the restaurant Kristall.

At the beginning the trail is a bit steep, but after 10 minutes you are at the junction and the trail flattens out. Above the restaurant you continue to the Lüsgersee (2094 m a.s.l.) and from there you continue to the station of the Färrichlift. Here you take the Aletschbordtrail past the Lüsgakiosk and on the Hotel Belalp nd Aletschbord.  At the Aletschbord you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Great Aletsch Glacier and the Valais mountains. Afterwards, enjoy a refreshment stop at the Hotel Belalp.

The 30-minute hike back to the starting point (Belalp cablecar station) takes you along the Aletschbordtrail. Another option is to descend directly to Blatten via the "Holzji" snowshoe trail.
