From Egga at Flüokapälli (wayside shrine), hike steadily westwards slightly uphill. In Meinimatte you cross the road. Heading north, the trail leads you to Äbi and then climbs up to Sättle, where it meets the trail from Finnu.
Now hike up the loop in the forest towards Alpe Brischeru on the east side. Soon you reach a vantage point that gives you a view over the foothills of the Mund and Finnu Alps. Take in the mighty Fletschhorn, the Mischabel group with the Dom, the unmistakable Matterhorn and the radiant Weisshorn. The trail leads you to the west side of the alp and then down over the western ridge, where you return to Finnu or Egga/Mund.
It is possible to start the snowshoe hike from Finnu (above Eggerberg). The trail leads through a hollow, past the top chalets into the forest towards Chastler, an open plateau with a group of alpine houses. The trail continues uphill to the village of Sättle, where it joins the trail from Mund.
