From Egga at the Flüokapälli (wayside shrine), hike steadily westwards slightly uphill. In Meinimatte you cross the road. Heading north, the trail leads you to Äbi and then climbs up to Sättle, where it joins the trail from Finnu.
Now hike up the loop in the forest towards Alpe Brischeru on the east side. You soon reach a vantage point from where you can enjoy the view over the Alpine foothills of Mund and Finnu. Take in the mighty Fletschhorn, the Mischabel group with the Dom, the unmistakable Matterhorn and the radiant Weisshorn. The trail takes you to the western side of the Alpe and then down over the western ridge, where you return to Finnu or Egga/Mund.
Access Finnu
It is possible to start the snowshoe hike from Finnu (above Eggerberg). The trail leads through a hollow, past the uppermost chalets into the forest towards Chastler, an open plateau with a group of alpine houses. Continue uphill to the village of Sättle, where the trail joins the one from Mund.
