The snowshoe trail "Brischeru" begins above Mund in the hamlet of Roosse. Through the winter forest, it goes in a loop towards Alpe Brischeru. The return is on the same path.

From Egga at Flüokapälli (wayside shrine) you hike steadily slightly uphill westwards. In Meinimatte you cross the road. To the north, the trail leads you to Äbi and then climbs up to Sättle, where it meets the trail from Finnu.

Now you hike in the forest up the loop towards Alpe Brischeru on the east side. Soon you reach a viewpoint that offers you a view over the pre-alpine area of Mund and Finnu. Let the mighty Fletschhorn, the Mischabel group with the Dom, the unmistakable Matterhorn and the radiant Weisshorn impress you. The trail takes you to the west side of the alp and then down over the western ridge, where you return to Finnu or Egga/Mund.

Finnu entry point

There is the possibility to start the snowshoe hike from Finnen (above Eggerberg). The trail leads through a hollow, past the highest chalets into the forest towards Chastler, an open plateau with an Alpine hut group. Then it continues uphill to the place Sättle, where the trail connects with that from Mund.
