On this themed trail, you follow the footsteps of the witch Vero and discover her home in Blindtal.

In the enchanted Blindtal, a truly adventurous spot between Naters and Blatten, lives Vero, the little Belalp witch, with her friends and forest dwellers. Here awaits a themed trail for the whole family, where enchanted tasks must be solved to discover the magic spell.

The adventure for young and old begins in Blatten near Naters and first requires finding the first clue with the telescope. Then the path leads down into Blindtal and offers various tasks. But relaxation is also provided in Blindtal: how about cooling your feet in the Bruchji? Naturally, nourishment should not be neglected: picnic or grill at one of the available barbecue areas.

Materials for Vero's witch trail are available at the tourism office in Blatten.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

Safety guidelines

Despite the 'unmissable' marking of the hiking trails, for safety reasons we always recommend carrying an appropriate hiking map so that, for example, in a thunderstorm or emergency you can quickly find a safe area.

Especially in autumn, note that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After storms, trees may still fall or branches drop. In adverse weather conditions, natural trails can become muddy and slippery. Expect these kinds of trail obstructions when hiking.

Not all rocks or precipices are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is sometimes required. If you think certain sections of the trail are not passable for you, you should avoid them.
