Swiss Mill Day

Swiss Mill Day is an event traditionally celebrated at various locations in Switzerland to honour the historical importance of mills for Swiss agriculture and food production. On this day, many mills open their doors to the public and offer fascinating insights into milling operations and the history of mill technology.
The Burgergemeinde Blatten demonstrates the operation of the sawmill, grain mill, and waterwheel (Säge-Mühle-Walche) in Blatten. In addition, rye bread is baked in the village oven.

09:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Visit the sawmill, grain mill, and waterwheel. Afterwards, the rye bread will be sold.
