Historical site
The Waldenhaus was named after the owner family Walden and stands next to the ossuary in Naters.
The exact date of construction of the house is unknown. After a fire, the Waldenhaus was bought by the then heads of the Naters and Rischinen communities and restored in 1653. At that time it served as a parish hall. The numerous irregularities in the building suggest not only an eventful (building) history, but also an old age (end of the 16th century).
