The Hexenzauber association has renovated and rebuilt the forest playground in recent years. It was officially opened in September 2023. The playground is suitable for children of all ages.
We welcome you to the Tschuggen restaurant between Blatten and Belalp from Wednesday to Sunday from mid-July to mid-September.
During the summer we organise various events in Tschuggen. For example Pilates flows with brunch, barbecue over an open fire, cinema evening for kids and much more.

The Chalet Restaurant Tschuggen is built with rustic Valais old wood. It seats up to 80 people inside and up to 40 people outside. A highlight is the barbecue over the open fire, which takes place on Friday evenings during the summer season.Cuisine types

Playground Hexenzauber
The new Hexenzauber playground is suitable for young and old. The Hexenzauber association has rebuilt the old overgrown playground. This was reopened in 2023. There is now an attractive, natural and ecological playground with new play equipment in the beautiful mountain forest at 1600 metres above sea level. The playground is open to the public and free of charge and is located right next to the restaurant;
Directions & Parking facilities
- The Tschuggen restaurant can be reached by cable car and car.
By public transport:
Take the train to Brig. From Brig take the post bus to Blatten b. Naters. From Blatten it is best to take the large cable car and get off at the middle station (stop on request). (Note timetable)
By car:
From Zurich:
The quickest route is via the motorway in the direction of Gotthard and then to Realp to the Furka car transport (note timetable). From Oberwald, continue through the Goms towards Brig-Naters.
From Bern:
The quickest route is via the motorway in the direction of Thun and then to Kandersteg to the Lötschberg car transport (note timetable). From Goppenstein, drive into the Rohnetal valley and then towards Brig-Naters.
From Naters, a well-maintained mountain road leads to Blatten b. Naters. From Blatten b. Naters you can easily reach the restaurant by car in summer. The mountain road is tarmac and there are parking spaces at the restaurant. More information
- We are happy to serve you an aperitif in our spacious natural garden with an old Valais "barn".
The restaurant offers space for up to 80 people.
The new indoor multimedia room can accommodate up to 30 people. Here you can hold presentations, meetings and conferences and then let us spoil you with culinary delights.
