- Start: Chiematte, cable car mountain station
- Destination: Schönbiel, Kelchbach chairlift
The "Weisse Meile" winter hiking trail leads from Chiematte to Schönbiel. The start is at the top station of the gondola lift on the Chiematte. Passing under the Kelchbach chairlift, the trail leads near the bed of the Kelchbach stream to a secluded part of the Belalp, which is not far from the winter sports tourism but still in a secluded winter wonderland at around 2100 metres above sea level. Here you can switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life on foot or with snowshoes. After just over an hour, you will reach Schönbiel at 2300 metres above sea level.
Enjoy the sunshine and a coffee or aperitif at Ricco's Igloo. The way back can be tackled with the Kelchbach or Brucheggs chairlift. Alternatively, you can return to the starting point via the "Weisse Meile" or take the winter hiking trail down to Bruchegg.
